We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our newest fabulous designer; Jessica Charleston.
Jessica is an already established bespoke bridal designer, and we feel so honoured that she has chosen to bring her first exclusive collection to Carina Baverstock Couture.
Driven by a lifelong passion for fashion and costume it was whilst working with fabrics in India that Jessica realised her future was in designing wedding dresses, giving her a chance to indulge in creating beautiful clothes for romantic personal journeys . After following courses at London College of Fashion, an MA in Bath really allowed Jessica to explore her creativity and carve a niche for herself.
Often feeling like she was born into the wrong era Jessica draws on design influences from 'La Belle Epoque' through to the 1930s, an era of extravagance and adventure, exploring themes of discovery and timeless elegance.
When asked about her collection, Jessica told us that her "Fleurs Sauvages collection is inspired by memories of time spent in the south of France, the skirts of Sevillanas dancers, lace curtains blowing through doorways and the patterns of lavender fields." Her gentle feminine silhouettes are created from delicate French lace and pure silk satins and crepes, and Jessica's shades of sand and grey evoke the muted palate of the wild Camargue region.
Truly stunning. If you would like to come in and try some of Jessica's gowns then please do call into the boutique on 01225 866610 for an appointment.
