The perfect Claire Pettibone bride

Morwenna was the perfect Claire Pettibone bride right from the beginning ....  as soon as we met her we knew that Yolanda would be the perfect dress for her vintage inspired wedding.

Yolanda by Claire Pettibone is a lovely, elegant empire-line gown that evokes a 1920s summer garden party. With ivory crochet lace over silk charmeuse, Yolanda features a lavender velvet and silk rose and a hand-dyed silk ribbon which adds to the vintage nostalgia.

Morwenna also wore a pure silk lace-edged veil by Neive Couture and the beautiful 'Wilderness' forehead band by Flo & Percy - the whole look came together perfectly.

"Everyone commented on my beautiful Claire Pettibone gown, and the veil and headpiece. Lucy did a fabulous job styling the look and it made the whole day. I'm so glad I went further a field to find my perfect dress. Take Care and thanks again!" Morwenna

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you every happiness for the future.

Amanda Lamb gets married in Suzanne Neville... and just down the road!

The gorgeous TV presenter Amanda Lamb of 'A Place in the Sun' fame got married last week in Suzanne Neville's classic 'Luscious' gown, and what's more she chose luxury venue Babington House for her big day which is one of Carina Baverstock Couture's local venues that we always recommend very highly to our brides.  Amanda looks so beautiful in Suzanne's trademark figure-sculpting corsetry and the delicate lace detailing of this dress really adds a soft femininity to her look.

All the fun of the fair...

We are now back from the White Gallery, the designer bridal event of the year, and have almost fully recovered!  Every year at the beginning of May, all of the top designers in the bridal industry gather in order to display their fabulous new collections to stockists.  The whole event is a whirlwind of fashion shows, fabrics, embellishments, stunning new designs and a little drop of champagne!

Sassi Holford showing us some of her beautiful fabrics

We met with all of our existing designers and some new ones too and loved all of the new collections.  We have now selected our favourite pieces which are being cut as we speak and will be winging their way to us very soon!  Please do come in and see us and be one of the first brides in the new 2013 collections!!

Finale of one of the catwalk shows

We would love to share all of our 'insider snaps' with you but I'm afraid the new designs need to stay under wraps for a little while longer, but rest assured we will be posting them as soon as we can!

The very best of British!

We are feeling very patriotic here at Carina Baverstock Couture today as the Olympic torch is due to pass right through Bradford-on-Avon.  Everywhere you look people are celebrating being British, and of course our lovely Duchess of Cambridge is no exception.  Seen stepping out as a guest of honour at a star-studded gala dinner Friday night celebrating Great Britain's Olympic athletes.

The Duchess wore eye-catching bright turquoise Jenny Packham gown with lace detailing, which our keen Jenny Packham brides will recognise as a variation of the celebrated 'Aspen' gown (pictured below). The beautiful shade of turquoise was chosen especially for Kate who favours all shades of blue.  I think we can all agree that she has done it again; she looks stunning and is a fantastic ambassador for British style!

Holly Willoughby wearing Suzanne Neville

Our favourite primetime princess, Holly Willoughby was seen wearing British Designer Suzanne Neville this weekend on the Voice.

The short black Chantilly lace dress is fitted at the waist with a low plunging neckline with exaggerated shoulders and a fitted skirt it has been designed and made especially for Holly in Suzanne Neville's London studio this week.

All our Suzanne Neville brides know what Holly knows... that nothing makes your figure look as good as Suzanne's corsetry!!
