Our Venetian Christmas

Our own Carina Baverstock was lucky enough to have been whisked away to Venice recently on a romantic getaway and her tales of enchanting gondola rides, dramatic architecture and the effortless Venetian style have transported and inspired us all!

It has even inspired the look for our legendary Christmas window stagings this year... contrasting blacks and golds against crisp white dresses provides the dramatic glamour and opulent style for our Venetian Christmas look.

Winter is drawing in and the season of goodwill is all but upon us, but here at Carina Baverstock Couture we have something very special to look forward to before the Christmas festivities get fully underway...

We are hosting a fabulous Jenny Packham designer day on Saturday 17th December with a 10% promotion on all orders placed on the day, and we can't wait!

Jenny Packham is a world-renowned and well-respected designer who has designed stunning red carpet gowns for Angelina Jolie, Katy Perry and Eva Longoria as well as our own Duchess of Cambridge who is often seen stepping out in beautiful Jenny Packham creations. Her stunning bridal collections have earned her the title of 'Bridal Designer of the Year' with Denise Van Outen and Elizabeth Hurley both choosing Jenny Packham gowns for their weddings. 

Her contemporary and glamorous bridal designs exude femininity and unique style with the use of Swarovski jewels, celestial silk tulles, cascading layers of silk chiffon and draped gleaming satins combined with opulent champagne silvers, delicate golds, soft ivories and glamorous whites which paint the collection.

Another fabulous new window display at Carina Baverstock Couture

We have become somewhat famous here for our enchanting window displays and our latest staging is as stunning as ever...

This time we have chosen to showcase gowns in beautiful yet unconventional hues, which is something that is becoming increasingly popular with our brides.   It is so exciting to see brides stepping out of their comfort zones, moving away from ivory, and trying some new shades!  

Nudes, champagnes and moonlight silvers are some of our favourites as they are all so flattering to the skin tone.

Our window displays are changed very regularly so please do keep an eye out for our latest featured styles.

Happy 1st Birthday Carina Baverstock Couture!

We are celebrating here today at Carina Baverstock Couture!  We are celebrating a very special occasion indeed... our 1st birthday!

It has been exactly one year since we opened our doors here in Bradford on Avon, and what a year it has been.  We could never have imagined what an immense success the boutique would be in its first year, and word of our phenomenal achievements must be spreading fast as we are now attracting brides from around the world!

Our stunningly unique collection features an eclectic range of the very best designers, offering refined glamour, boho chic or modern grandeur depending on the image the bride wishes to create.  What's more, we are now Jenny Packham's premier stockist in the area and we had the honour of debuting Mathew Williamson's inaugural bridal collection. 

We were also nominated for Best Bridal Boutique in the UK by the Perfect Wedding Awards, which you must agree is quite a triumph for such a newly-established boutique!

The Luxury Wedding Show London

 

We had a fabulous outing to Londons premier wedding event at the Saatchi Gallery yesterday. Our luxurious day was filled with perusing the best designer collections London had to offer, cake tasting, tiara trying and sipping Pommery champagne whilst we sat back and took in the grand catwalk show.

The show saw the likes of Stewart Parvin, Temperley London, Vivienne Westwood and Amanda Wakeley to name a few, but the absolute show stealer had to be the truely innovative London designer David Fielden.

This year’s collection sees David, who recently celebrated 30 years as a bridal designer, pushing against the boundaries of conventional design using exquisite silk satins, delicate French lace and intricate trims combined with luxurious textures and flowing silhouettes. With uncompromising attention to detail and using cutting edge techniques all David’s pieces are made and hand finished in London.

The 2012 collection contains creative, modern and avant- garde pieces, fashion forward yet sophisticated and elegant true to David’s design philosophy which is ‘Never to be subjected to the limitations of tradition’.
